Professionalize your passion.
The instinct for running a home well is a real skill set. We name it, train it, and certify it.
For a field this personal, there has been remarkably little to go on.
A householdinvites someone into their home, their calendar, and often their finances — with no way to tell preparation from confidence.
An agencystakes its reputation on a placement — with no common definition of the role to measure a candidate against.
A professionalhas run a complex household for a decade — and has nothing she can hand anyone that says so.
Same gap, three directions. Closing it is the whole reason we're here.
Don't fight the wind. Learn to move with it.
Ánemos is Greek for wind. The Greeks counted four of them, each arriving from its own direction, each with its own temperament — which is roughly how households show up.
No two run the same way, and the work was never to impose one system on all of them. It's to read the direction a household is already moving and build structure that moves with it.
That's what training changes. Fighting the wind is what improvising feels like. Moving with it is what competence feels like — and competence can be taught.
The ANEMO Institute began with a gap our founder kept running into.
Lena Bristol spent her career building the path from I can do this to here's the proof — first in workforce training, then in certification.
House management was a field doing the work without any of that. No shared standard. No training path. Nothing a skilled professional could hand anyone as evidence.
ANEMO is what she built to close it.
What we're here to do.
The ANEMO Institute exists to give private service professionals what every other skilled trade already has: a standard, a way to train to it, and a way to prove it.
House management is a specialized field, and a fast-growing one. We built ANEMO so the people who do it well can prove it — and the households who need them can tell.
What we hold candidates to.
- Discretion
- What happens in a household stays in it. No exceptions.
- Reliability
- The standard holds whether or not anyone is watching.
- Proactivity
- Seeing what's coming and handling it before it's asked for.
- Alignment
- Running the household the way this household wants to be run.
- Communication
- Saying the necessary thing clearly, early, and once.
We're early, and open about it.
ANEMO launched in 2026. Our first cohort is in the program now. No one has graduated yet, and we're not going to pretend otherwise.
We don't claim accreditation and we don't claim industry recognition — those are earned over years, not asserted on a homepage. What we can tell you is exactly what the certification covers, how it's assessed, and what it confirms. All of it is published.
Founder & CEO
Lena Bristol
Before professionalizing my passion for home management and founding The ANEMO Institute, I worked for federally funded workforce programs — helping people get trained, credentialed, and placed into jobs. After that I spent years in marketing and program development for certification bodies and training academies.
Career transitions and credentialing have been my entire working life. House management is where the two finally met. Today I train and certify professional house managers through ANEMO's PHMC program.
